Michal Mrzyglód - Chin-Suru Collection

Chin-suru”, a slang verb which means “warming up food in a microwave” or just “microwave”, represents for the designer a metaphor of the socio-cultural changes that occurred in Japan since the last century, a result of the Meiji reformation.

Amelia Reynolds Abstract Clutches
via Amelia Reynolds
Amelia Reynolds is an Irish Designer Maker based in Dublin, working towards a Bachelor of Design in Metals at the National College of Art and Design. She is currently producing a series of hard-case clutch bags, combining 3-D printed plastic forms with traditional metal materials.
Her work deals with issues of stability and routine and uses abstract geometric shapes to represent these concepts as sculptural yet wearable pieces. By utilising C.A.D. technology she develops the clutch bag beyond its traditional form, creating one-off, contemporary pieces. Reynolds will continue her education further in the upcoming year by undertaking jewellery internships in Holland and Australia.
